Promenader är nog det bästa i Rethymnon både på dagarna och på kvällarna. Går man igenom gamla stan så rekomenderar jag att man kollar in i affärer där de säljer olivolja, viner, och läder.
En promenad på fortezza hann jag också med sista dagen. Jag missade det förra gången så detta var min första gång där. Men riktigt fint och häftigt var det. I närheten av fortezza fanns det även ett konst museum med riktigt snygga tavlor. Tyvär så får man inte fota där inne. Men för de som gillar konst så rekomenderar jag att man tar en titt det var gratis inträde.
Det finns mycket restauranger och barer i rethymnon men ett ställe som jag tyckte var mysigt va Cafe exo
Nu när det är sässong för turister så hittar man vattensporter vid stranden.
Är man i grekland borde man inte missa denna öl.
God mat är det alltid i grekland. Men lissus är en restaurang jag tyckte var riktigt bra för att vara för turister. Maten var riktigt fräsh där både den grekiska maten och de andra. för den som gillar pizza tror jag inte man kan hitta godare. Det är en restaurang jag tycker borde synas mer. Förutom den goda maten så är personalen riktigt trevliga och ger bra service.
Sitter man här har man riktig havsutsikt. Glass som efterrätt och drinkar sitter inte heller fel. Allt var riktigt gott.
Rethymnon blev det i år igen. Tror nog att det är ett av mina favorit områden. Det är både livligt, lugnt och mysigt. Speciellt när turister bor med lokala folket. Det blir en annan känsla än när man bor på ett område med nästan bara turister. Det finns inget bättre än att vakna nära stranden här första dagarna var vattnet stilla och kristallklart att man såg botten hur långt in man än gick. och andra dagar var det stora vågor.
Shopping in Rethymnon
You can by everything like everywhere in rethymnon, but somethings dominate like gold, footwear and leather. The main streets wich is recommended to move in is Ethnikis Antistaseos (the biggest shopping street), Koundourioti (here’s upmarket boutiques), Souliou (a cozy alley with small shops) and Odos Arkadiou (big street with mixed shops). Something i liked when i was there is the old town, the things i found there to by was more like memories from rethymnon. The bigg and new shopping streets had chlothes and stuff like the things i use to by when i’m home in sweden. But it’s good for people who like to shop new things too. I found a lot of things in the old town. Some delicacies from Crete wich is good to buy to take home is the home-grown olive oil, spices, oregano and thyme, feta cheese or honey. you can find that things in a lot of stores.
Exept all the watersports, swiming and eating in restaurants there is a lot more to do. For people who likes history you can visit some places to discover more about the history in grece, or religion and culture. You can also chose to visit other beaches in crete. There is a lot to do.
Places worth to visit…
Fortezza castle the Venetian fortress in Rethymnon. Here you can see some of the history of crete and how the Turks attacked the city once. What is left is a large part of the wall and the Turkish Sultan Ibrahim Mosque. The Archaeological Museum is right next to Fortezzas main entrance of the old Turkish prison. There are collections of finds from the Minoan period, and Roman times.

You can find Elafonissi beach in Chania some distance from rethymnon. A lot of people says that it’s the most beautiful beach in Grece, crystal clear water and pink sand. It’s really something to see. 
That was some of the things you can do in Rethymnon. But of course there is a lot more but i’ll save it to next post about what you can do in Rethymnon.
There is a lot of different food in Grece,but there is some favorites that i realized people eat the most when they are there.
SOUVLAKI
Souvlaki is one of the most known food specially for tourists.
Gyros is also food people chose to eat….
Same thing with moussaka.
But something Grece is well known for is their salad, specially for the olives and feta cheese they use to make the sallad.
That was some of the greek food. there is more but this is the food you see most as a tourist. And i can understand why because i tried it all when i was there there is nothing better.
